Crow River District – Chance Crossland, has earned the Order of the Arrow, which is the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America.
Chance successfully completed the induction ceremony, called the Ordeal, the first step toward full membership. During the Ordeal, candidates maintain silence, receive small amounts of food, work on camp improvement projects and are required to sleep alone, apart from other campers. The entire experience is designed to teach significant values.

Chance holds the rank of Life Scout as a member of Troop 3682 in the Crow River District, where he resides.
